Charter Trip Options
Below are the various options we run for charter trips. Our season is limited. We begin charters in the middle of May with Black Seabass and Striped Bass. We will run trips until the end of October each year. All gear and licenses are included in the cost. When you click on a trip, it will take you to a different site that we use for bookings, so this is normal. This helps us spend more time onthe water and less time in the office.
4 & 5-hour Striped Bass and bluefish trip – AM or PM options
Up to 5 people total on the boat – $650 for the boat
Our most popular trip, perfect for families and newcomers. Experience Cape Cod’s signature species with expert instruction and plenty of action. Using a variety of proven techniques, we’ll help you catch striped bass and bluefish that call these waters home from May through October. Depending on the regulations that change each year, you may be able to take some fish home with you. We clean and filet the fish for you before you leave. Trips depart at either 7:00 am or 1:00 pm. We may leave from a variety of locations between Harwich to Provincetown, depending on where the fishing is the best that time of year.
Bluefin Tuna – Run & Gun for recreational tuna
For up to 4 people – $1600 for the boat
On these trips we will be casting, jigging or trolling for Bluefin Tuna under 73 inches that you can keep. It is an experience like no other and is physically demanding. We will cover a lot of miles in search of smaller size fish. Includes all gear and licenses. Normal departure time is approx. 4:00 am depending on where we are heading and the time of year. This trip is approx. 10 hours on the water.
Giant Bluefin Tuna – live lining bait
For up to 5 people – $1350 for the boat
Feel the rush as you battle one of Cape Cod’s most beautiful, powerful, and delicious fish in the open waters, surrounded by stunning coastal scenery. Ideal for anglers ready for an unforgettable offshore adventure and the challenge of landing a true trophy catch over 73″. On this trip, the Captain sells the fish and you are given a credit towards your next trip with Ortus Charters. You will not have bluefin tuna to take home on this trip. Includes all gear and licenses. Normal departure time is approx. 4:00 am depending on where the fish are biting best and the time of year. This type of trip is less demanding physically due to the large size of reels we will use. This trip is approx. 10 hours on the water.
Bluefin Tuna – Open Boat Tuesday’s
This allows you to sign up as a single fisherman and we will fill the boat with others. $400 per person, 4 person Max. Must have a min of 2 people to be able to run the trip.
For the 2026 season, we will offer Open Boat Tuesday’s. The goal is to allow people who can not fill the entire boat to be able to sign-up and target bluefin tuna of recreational size. We will most likely be using light tackle. All tackle and licenses are included. Normal departure time is approx. 4:00 am depending on where we are going and the time of year.
