Are you ready to fish! We are!

We have been silent on blog writing for the last month, but we’ve been very busy!  We were on the road for three weeks working at the Atlantic City Boat Show and the Saltwater Fishing Expo in New Jersey.  It was great to meet so many new people and to talk about fishing!  It kicked up the fishing juices and excitement for the upcoming season! We look forward to hosting some of you on the water this summer.

We are two weeks away from pulling the boat cover off and starting to load up the boat.  All the early-season rods and reels are put together to be ready to go. We will find a few warm days to do some minor boat work, but we are ready for early-season fishing.

We will be offering black sea bass trips starting on May 19th.  You can sign up for these trips as an individual or a group.  The maximum number of anglers per trip is 4.  The cost is $100 per person for 5 hours of black sea bass fishing.  These trips will leave from Saquatucket Harbor at 7:30 am as we will fish in Nantucket Sound.

Shortly after that will be striped bass trips.  June is just about sold out.  In July we will be running tuna and bass trips.  July is wide open.  August is about half full for tuna trips already.

We spotted some new lures at the shows.  We will be adding three lures from  Strategic Angler to help us target bluefin tuna on light tackle.  We are also excited to test out the new larger-size squidtrex from Nomad for both striped bass and bluefin tuna.  You can grab all of these new lures at themightyfish.com.

We have also replaced some older rods and added some new reels to the mix for 2024.  We’ve added a new Shimano Saragosa for jigging for bluefin tuna and we have upgraded our striped bass light tackle reels to Shimano Twinpowers.  We work hard to keep the gear in top shape for you while replacing and upgrading as needed.

We are really excited about seeing you all again this season.  We look forward to starting some new relationships with new customers as well!  See you on the water soon!
