2024 Season Recap . . .
As we enter into December, we are in full swing of the Holiday Season. We thank you for your support and business in 2024. It was a great season on the water with some new friendships created and a chance with repeat customers. Thank you one and all!
We started our season catching tautog and black sea bass on some cold April and May days. These fish are great to eat. They freeze very well. Chasing these fish is always a fun way to break the boat in. It helps us get back into the rhythm of being on the water for 5 months.

We then transitioned into strip bass in the early season. We started the year South in the Monomoy rips and they didn’t disappoint. We had countless trips with multiple fish and slot-sized for guests to take home. We then moved to the Provincetown area where we spent the majority of the season. Striped bass on topwater, jigs, live bait, umbrella rigs, and wire kept us busy all season long. They didn’t disappoint our guests. The one exception was the lack of bluefish around Provincetown this season. Normally they arrive a little later than the striped bass, but they were not around for very long this season.

In mid-June, the bluefin tuna arrived in force. We were able to catch some recreational size early season for our guests to take home. We also had a great year with giants over 73”. All in all, it was one of our best seasons with bluefin tuna. We had to work a lot harder this year to find them, but when we did, the bite was excellent!

Mixed in with all these trips were spectacular sunrises and whale shows. There were more dolphins than I can ever remember. We saw turtles, basking sharks, and birds galore! We never take seeing the variety of sea creatures for granted. We know we live in a special place to have such great fishing and wildlife shows so close to shore.

As for the business, we will hold our charter rates for the second year in a row. The efficiency of the new engines is the main reason. We are fortunate that we don’t have any major projects on the boat this year. This helps us to keep our rates stable.
Lastly, there are some strong rumors that 2025 will eliminate the ability to keep a striped bass. The governing bodies work to manage the stock of bass. They are in serious discussions to close down the striped bass fishery for the year. This will give the fish the ability to rebound. We will keep you informed. We are working on plans to make sure our guests have a great time catching fish in 2025. We will swap out all of our treble hooks on our lures. This will help reduce catch and release mortality.
We hope you will visit us again here on Cape Cod during the 2025 season. We look forward to the Holidays with friends and family. We will be traveling to some warmer climates to beat the cold and catch some fish. Follow us on Instagram to see where we are and what we are catching!
Thank you and we will see you in 2025!
